Courage that need not roar — dignity, protection, quiet command.
The lion in the grounds is strength at rest — the confidence that no longer has to prove itself. It appears when you are more formidable than you feel, and the cup wants you to walk into the week accordingly.
A lion can also mark a protector: someone powerful who has quietly decided you are theirs to defend. Near the bottom of the cup, that guardianship is old and unshakeable.
