SYMBOL DICTIONARY · A DOVE

A Dove in your coffee grounds

Peace offered — reconciliation, gentleness, the end of some small war.

A dove settles the whole cup. It marks peace arriving — a quarrel forgiven, a tension released, a household exhaling. Often it foretells the first soft word after a long silence, from you or toward you.

In love readings the dove is faithfulness itself; in work, a truce that lets everyone build again. A dove near the rim says the peace is days away and needs only someone brave enough to speak first.
